Are You Backing Up Your Wordpress Site?

It was Monday morning and I was on a call with a dozen others who are my peers. Each of us helps the small business owner with their businesses in one way or the other. It was at the end of the call and we were each sharing our websites and going over how to make little improvements here and there. Time was running out and there was just enough time for one more website review, I volunteered. As my site was coming up for all to see suddenly the screen turned a maroon red with an outline of a security officer with his hand stretched out and the words of"don't precede malware threat." There was more but I was too horrified to remember precisely what it said. I was worried that I had spent hours on being ruined plus humiliated the people on the call had seen me vulnerable.

I back my blogs regularly using a free plugin WP DB Backup up. If anything happens I will always restore my blog. I use my blog to be scanned by WP Security Scan free plugin and WordPress Firewall to block asks that are suspicious-looking to fix malware problems free.

The approach, and the one I recommend, is to use one of the creation and storage plugins available for your browser. Many people like RoboForm, but I believe after a trial period, you need to pay for it. I use the free version of Lastpass, and I recommend it for those who use Firefox or Internet Explorer. That will generate secure passwords for you; then you use one master password dig this to log in.

Recently, an unknown hacker murdered the site of Reuters and published a news article. Their reputation is already destroyed due to what the hacker did since Reuters is a news website. If you do not pay attention on the security of your WordPress 20, the same thing may happen to you.

Another step to take to make WordPress secure is to always upgrade WordPress. The main reason for this is that there come fixes for security holes which makes it essential to update.

Change admin username and your WordPress password, or your password, often and collect and use other WordPress security tips to keep hackers out!
